An increasing number of accountants are embracing continuing professional development (CPD) as a hugely important and necessary investment for their careers.

According to a recent survey conducted by the Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA), 47% of participants reported attending a CPD event in the past year, a notable increase from 36% the previous year.

Additionally, members are eager to explore a wide variety of CPD subjects, with the most popular being tax (63%), AI and emerging technologies (56%), updates on accounting software (53%), compliance updates (52%), and IFRS and IAS (50%).
