IFRS amendments finalised by IASB

Following its 'commitment to taking action' after the G-20 proposals on International Financial Reporting Standards, the International Accounting Standards Board has issued its latest set of annual improvements to 12 IFRSs. Improvements to IFRSs concludes the 2007-09 amendments to the reporting standards, presented as a single standard rather than making piecemeal changes. The amendments reflect issues that were included in exposure drafts of proposed changes to IFRSs that were published in October 2007, August 2008, and January 2009 and will be effective from 1 January 2010, but can be adopted earlier. The IASB originally decided to postpone the reconsideration of two issues until more analysis could be done after it received comments on the exposure draft of Proposed Improvements to IFRSs, published in August 2008. As a result, today's published document, with all the other issues included in the three previous exposure drafts, have been finalised or removed from the accountancy body's agenda.
