Eight corporate reporting organisations have published details of how their separate frameworks, standards and related requirements map onto the integrated reporting (IR) initiative to create a clearer and more coherent approach to using integrated reporting to increase transparency and accountability across corporate reporting
Paul Druckman, CEO, International Integrated Reporting Council said, ‘This map will help clarify IR [integrated reporting] in the context of broader reporting requirements, and also prove a powerful first step towards better dialogue between the most prominent organisations in the corporate reporting field.
‘The market is evidently, and quite rightly, confused with the alphabet soup of the reporting landscape. I am committed to help resolve this with the map being a first step.’
Known collectively as the Corporate Reporting Dialogue, this group was set up in 2014 in response to calls for greater coherence, consistency and comparability between frameworks, standards and related requirements.
The new landscape map is the first output and is designed to provide a snapshot of a comparison of their frameworks, standards and related requirements through the lens of IR, in order to reduce confusion about how they can be used together.
