Inadequate technology failing UK accountancy sector

Accountancy firms are struggling to share information and data efficiently or securely as they do not have the right technology for the job, claims Morten Brøgger, CEO at tech specialist Huddle

Heightened competition paired with a number of external factors (the Brexit among them) has made the UK accountancy sector a progressively challenging market. Huddle’s study of 200 accounting and other professional services firms shows that over the next three years, firms are most concerned about retaining staff (45%) and increased domestic (40%) and global competition (36%).

More worryingly still, the fallout from Brexit could mean new challenges for firms already fighting to win and retain business.
