International Reporting: June 2012

IFRS expert David Cairns provides a round-up of the key changes in international accounting standards and developments at the IASB

Standards under review

The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) has issued exposure draft ED2012/1 Annual Improvements to IFRS 2010-2012 Cycle. The proposed changes affect four International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and six International Accounting Standards (IAS).

The proposals could affect any entity but, in practice, most will be relevant to only a few entities. The exposure draft can be downloaded at IFRS. Comments are due by 5 September 2012.
