John Whiting is the Tax director of the Office of Tax Simplification, a part-time role he has held since the OTS was established. Until 2013 he was the Tax Policy Director of the Chartered Institute of Taxation; previously, he was a tax partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is also a non-executive director of HMRC and a Board member of Revenue Scotland.
