KPMG partner pay hits £880k after Swiss merger

Revenue at KPMG jumps to £3.6bn as Big Four firm combines UK and Swiss earnings for first time after firms merged driving up partner profit

Following merger of KPMG UK/Swiss business last year, the last of the Big Four firms reported profit of £576m, up 14% after a major cost cutting exercise, on combined revenue of £3.6bn for 2025 but did not split out earnings. When the Swiss firm merged into the UK operation, it accounted for around 18% of the combined group earnings at CHF561.6m (£535m). UK profit last year was £404m.

Average partner pay increased 11% year on year to £880,000, up from £816,000 in FY24, illustrating that cost cutting and the Swiss deal has been beneficial for profitability. KPMG stressed cost cutting remains a priority, ‘given ongoing headwinds and industry-wide lower levels of attrition, the firm continues to focus on managing costs’.
