Mercer & Hole is to merge with Rickmansworth based accountants, Day, Smith & Hunter (DSH), on 1 October, with the firm gaining three partners
Mercer & Hole, who is ranked at number 41 in Accountancy’s Top 75 survey, has gained a new office in Rickmansworth, adding to the three offices that it already holds in London, St Albans and Milton Keynes.
The merger strengthens the firm’s presence in the south east and brings the total number of staff to just under 200.
Mark Cassidy, David Jones and Sandy Bell have become partners at Mercer & Hole, based in their Rickmansworth office. These additions have brought the total number of partners at the firm to 20.
The former clients of DSH’s Rickmansworth office have access to the range of services Mercer & Hole offer such as corporate advisory, private client, trusts, financial planning and VAT.
David Jones, partner, DSH said: 'This is an exciting development for our Rickmansworth team. As Mercer & Hole, we will continue to offer our clients the level of service they have come to expect from us. However, in addition, we can offer them the benefit of a wider range of specialist services and expertise. This merger presents great potential for the Rickmansworth office.'
Paul Maberly, senior partner, Mercer & Hole said: 'We extend a warm welcome to our new partners and team. We are delighted be able to service a wider geographical area through our new Rickmansworth office, which complements the firm’s locations in London, St Albans and Milton Keynes so well.
'Our merger with DSH enhances the firm’s ability to anticipate and meet the emerging needs of our clients. It represents a significant part of Mercer & Hole’s growth strategy and put us in a strong position for the future.'
