The Insolvency Service is publicising a change to the official receiver’s bank account which means anyone handling monies paid in to bankruptcies and compulsory liquidations needs to amend their records before the end of this month
On 30 June 2016, the official receiver’s Lloyds bank account will close, and a switch made to using government banking services.
All future payments will be credited to the new Royal Bank of Scotland account following the change, and any funds submitted to the Lloyds account after 30 June will need to be resubmitted to the Insolvency Service Royal Bank of Scotland account by the sender.
The Insolvency Service has published details of the new account for both sterling credits and payments of funds from overseas, and there is a helpline on 0121 698 4268.
