North West-based firm Cowgill Holloway has confirmed its expansion in Bolton with a merger with Warings Business Advisers
The deal creates a group with 15 partners and sees Warings’ senior partner Patrick Lydon and tax partner Helen Chambers appointed partners of Cowgill Holloway, while Ray Darby and Nicola Roby will become directors of CHW Small Business Accounting, a soon-to-be-launched specialised small business centre, based at Warings’ offices.
In Accountancy's 2016 Top 75 survey, Cowgill Holloway came in at 63 with a fee income of £9m.
CHW Small Business Accounting will see Warings’ team and Cowgill Holloway’s small business team combine to provide bookkeeping, accounting, management information and payroll services.
The merger increases the Cowgill Holloway Group to 150 staff across five offices.
Warings senior partner Lydon said the deal represented ‘long-term security for the clients and staff of Warings’, adding it ‘gives us access to the wider range of services available at Cowgill Holloway’.
