The global survey, which featured more than 2,086 respondents from the UK, found that 18% of workers said they ‘are very or extremely likely’ to switch jobs within the next year with a further 32% stating that they are ‘moderately or slightly likely’ to.

The study surveyed 52,195 workers across 44 countries and found that millennial and Gen Z workers are leading the ‘great resignation’ with 27% of 18 to 25-year-olds planning to leave and 23% of 26 to 41-year-olds compared to 15% of Gen X and only 9% of baby boomers.

PwC stated that pay was the biggest motivator for a job change with 71% citing finance as their main factor when considering moving jobs the report also found that 35% of the global respondents and 27% of UK workers were planning to ask their employers for more money in the next 12 months.
