The proportion of women sitting on boards across the UK financial services industry has increased from 23% to 32% since 2016 and the female representation on executive committees is now at 22% up from 14% five years ago.

The increase for female executives is nearly 60% and for boards, it is nearly 40%.

At the current rate of increase, the research suggests that women will achieve parity with men on executive committees by 2033, and on boards by 2029.
