PE backed DJH Mitten Clarke completes two acquisitions

DJH Mitten Clarke has expanded in the northwest with the acquisition of the Altrincham office of Haines Watts and Nantwich accountancy practice, Lyon Griffiths

The two acquisitions were completed this week and were described as ‘significant’ transactions following inward investment from private equity fund Tenzing in November 2022.

The deal with Haines Watts Altrincham will enhance the firm’s position in the northwest and was described as a ‘significant milestone’. This strategic move comes as part of the firm’s ongoing growth plans and recent partnership with private equity investor, Tenzing.

The Altrincham office specialises in owner-managed businesses and the education sector, a niche that aligns with the firm’s commitment to delivering specialist advice to its clients. All staff will remain with the firm.

Haines Watts Altrincham will be rebranded as DJH Mitten Clarke, becoming the Altrincham office for the group. This transition, accompanied by substantial investment in facilities, training, wellbeing and recruitment, allows the Altrincham team to enhance their services and meet the evolving needs of clients.
