Accountancy firm Tait Walker has made an internal promotion, appointing Graham Dotchin as corporate finance manager. He joined the firm in 2007 as a corporate finance executive and was involved in its largest deal to date - the sale of Specials Laboratory to United Drug plc for £25m. He has significant experience in advising clients on mergers & acquisitions, disposals and fund raising. Reeves+Neylan has brought in Steve Greig as its director of corporate finance. He joins the firm with over 23 years' corporate finance, leverage and banking experience with varying senior roles at HSBC within Kent, Crawley and the City. A new financial controller has been appointed to Medicash, a Liverpool-based healthcare cash plan provider. Matt Allen makes the move from Alliance Fund managers where he was the investment director of its largest £40m equity fund. He will now head up both the finance and IT departments at Medicash. Lawrence Scoffield in Leeds has appointed its first ever finance director. David Black has been internally promoted from finance manager to finance director at the firm, while Jessica Kelly has been appointed commercial property insurance specialist and Spencer Bennett becomes an independent financial adviser for the firm. Nick Davies has boosted the tax team at Garbutt & Elliott, a Yorkshire-based accountancy firm, with his arrival as a senior employment rewards specialist. He has previously held roles at Armstrong Watson and Grant Thornton. Liz Whitfield has been appointed to spearhead a new business drive by Solihull-based accountancy firm Jerroms. She has 21 years' business experience, including six years with the corporate finance team at KPMG. Kingston Smith has expanded its forensic accounting services team. David Epstein, Vanessa Lambert-Smith and Zakia Chowdury have been brought in as forensic accounting specialists. All three have extensive experience in all aspects of forensic accountancy, in particular the assessment of losses arising from compulsory purchase orders.
