Deloitte has appointed Mo Habbas, a former senior director with professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal, as a partner. He will join the operational due diligence team focusing on strategy and the delivery of post deal added value. Habbas specialises on the turnaround of under-performing businesses and driving improvements in profitability and cash working capital, recently working with private equity firms, Advent, Charterhouse and EQT.

Creaseys has added three staff to its 80-plus accountancy team in Tunbridge Wells.  Kyle Barford, previously a senior tax advisor at EY, has been appointed a client manager in the private client division.  Amy-Grace Hammond has also joined the private client team as an assistant client manager, having completed her ACA exams in her last role at Wilkins Kennedy. School leaver Tim Dashwood, who completed his A levels recently, joins the firm as a trainee.  He will spend the early months in the corporate and business, and audit and accounts divisions.

Victoria Cameron and Ross Gunn have been promoted from senior consultant to managing consultant in the public practice team at Change Recruitment Group.  Cameron first joined the company in 2012, and after a short spell working at a Big Four client business, and covers a range of recruitment opportunities for qualified individuals within accountancy practices in Scotland. Gunn joined the firm in October 2013, and specialises in recruiting qualified accountants and finance professionals for a range of clients within commerce and industry.

RSM has appointed technology specialist Simon Macdonald as a partner in its Guildford office. Macdonald joins RSM from Menzies where he led the firm’s technology and fast growing business team in London.  In his new role at RSM’s accounting and financial reporting team, he will focus on the region’s technology, property and recruitment companies, and building a portfolio of owner-managed business clients.
