Evelyn Partners has appointed Laurence Kiddle as head of technology and transformation to provide support to businesses to help them manage the complex world of tax and regulatory compliance. He has extensive experience helping businesses simplify their operations through process improvement and redesign, and custom and off-the-shelf tech deployments. Kiddle has spent over 20 years in tax technology. He trained as a tax adviser at Arthur Andersen and since then was a partner in Deloitte’s tax management consulting team, and managing director of the EMEA Business for Thomson Reuters and more recently as CEO at Arkk.
Armstrong Watson has appointed Brian Rudkin as employment tax partner to head up its employment tax services. He joins the firm from Johnston Carmichael where he was director and head of employer services. Having specialised in employment taxes, staff reward and pay governance for more than 30 years, Rudkin will support large employers, family, owner-managed and privately owned businesses. He is also chair of the employment taxes working group at Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and a member of the Tax Board.
