Northern Accountants has appointed long-standing director Ben Muncaster as director of operations and AI, as the business prepares a £250k budget for process transformation, advanced automation and new AI toolchains, over the next 12 months. He is joined by AI advisor, author and futurist Ant Morse, founder of digital innovation consultancy Adventa, who will provide external guidance throughout this next transformation phase. PwC UK has appointed Rob Banham as TMT industry leader and Warren Tucker as technology sector leader, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to supporting clients across the rapidly evolving technology, media, and telecommunications landscape. Banham, a consulting partner with over 25 years of experience, began his career at PwC as a graduate trainee and rejoined the firm in 2006. He has led major transformation programmes across the TMT sector, helping organisations redesign business models and implement innovative technologies. Tucker is also a partner and previously led PwC’s UK cloud, digital and engineering businesses. Since joining PwC in 2014, he has helped organisations modernise operations and accelerate growth through digital and cloud technologies.

S&W has appointed Caroline Hadfield as business tax director in its tax advisory team, based in Manchester with a focus on focus on expanding the firm’s regional presence and tax offering. She brings more than three decades of extensive experience in business transformation and tax operations. Previously she was at Vita, where she led all group tax matters, including the acquisition and funding of development sites, international expansion and disposals. Prior to that she was tax director at Grant Thornton, where she specialised in transaction taxes across the north west region.

Gerald Edelman has appointed Olivia Parrish as its first chief people officer to steer the firm’s new 10-year vision. Bringing with her extensive experience in accountancy and finance sectors, she will be pivotal in growing the business while ensuring cultural cohesion. Parrish has more than 20 years of experience in HR leadership, consulting, and organisational development, and also runs her own consulting business, Leap People Solutions.

Quantuma has appointed forensic accounting expert, Sue Nightingale, as a director in the disputes, investigations and valuations practice. A specialist in litigation support services, she will be predominantly based in the Guildford office, working for clients across the London and South East region. Nightingale joins from BDO where she was a director in the forensic accounting and valuations team, specialising in expert and dispute advisory business valuations.

Bishop Fleming has appointed Matt Tyler as business development director to support the firm’s growth strategy in the West Midlands. He has a general practice background and brings a wealth of business development experience within mid-tier accountancy firms, having built and led successful commercial departments with a strong focus on growth and client service. Previously he was a senior business development manager at PKF Smith Cooper.

HURST has promoted Isabelle Bennett and Matthew Taylor to managers in the corporate finance team after originally joined the practice as graduate trainees. Bennett advises on a range of projects, including business valuations, exit strategies and acquisitions, and is currently managing multiple complex company sales on behalf of a diverse range of clients. Taylor has led a number of significant projects across sectors including energy, legal and property.

The CFO Centre has appointed Natalie Garfield as its latest CFO at the outsourcing business, focusing on providing services to business across South Wales. She brings over20 years of experience spanning manufacturing, consulting, local government, education, and healthcare. Her most recent role was as finance director at Capita, where she spent 15 years leading financial strategy across a diverse portfolio of public sector contracts.

ACCA has appointed Claire Lindridge as director, policy and insights. She will play a key role in supporting members and the wider accountancy community with by focusing on ACCA’s global policy priorities of bridging the skills gap, driving sustainable business and championing the professional accountant. Lindridge brings 19 years of experience at the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), where she was director of audit market supervision. Prior to joining the FRC, she trained and worked as an auditor at Deloitte.

ICAEW has appointed Ravi Abeywardana as sustainability reporting and assurance director as it strengthens its senior sustainability leadership capability in response to growing global demand for robust sustainability reporting and assurance. He joins the Institute later this month from the IFRS Foundation, where he most recently served as director of strategic affairs and capacity building for the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). 

Nintex has appointed of Burt Y Chao as chief financial officer. He brings more than 20 years of experience in senior finance and operational leadership roles across global technology and professional services organisations with a focus on software-as-a-service (SaaS), payments, and tech-enabled services in private equity environments. Most recently, he was CFO of Pushpay Holdings.
