Tilney Smith & Williamson has appointed Stephen Woodhouse as a partner with a remit to build and develop its private equity tax offering. He joins the firm’s professional services business from EY where he was an associate partner who led the Manchester private equity transaction tax team and was part of the wider national mid-market group. He has over 15 years of experience supporting mid-market private equity clients and their management teams on the tax implications of all aspects of corporate finance activity. 

BDO has continued its investment in people with the appointment of three partners. Sandi Dosanjh joins BDO as an advisory partner and will be based in the Midlands. Her previous role focused on leading large scale control transformation programmes for FTSE 50 businesses. Her role at BDO will see Sandi lead the digital risk advisory team in the region, covering areas such as cyber risk management, IT optimisation and controls transformation. She joins from KPMG. María Cobo Huerta joins as a partner in the audit practice with a focus on risk and quality. At BDO she will lead the root cause analysis, action planning and monitoring team. Lee Jarrett also joins the audit practice with more than 20 years’ experience working with large and complex businesses, primarily US-owned. His role at BDO will see him continue this international focus as part of the firm’s US audit team. Both join from PwC and will be based in London.
