Aidan Brennan has joined KPMG as head of solutions, where he will lead the firm’s investments in new technology solutions and services for clients. He will transform the way KPMG delivers advice to business, using new technologies, service models and the firm’s alliances. Brennan has replaced Karen Briggs, who has been appointed to lead KPMG’s Brexit response.

After a 15% increase in sales, Mitchell Charlesworth has promoted Heather Townsend to a managerial role at the Chester accountancy firm. She joined the firm in 2007 and has gained experience helping firms register for VAT and subsequent compliance, as well as the producing year end accounts and corporation tax returns.

Green & Co accountants and tax advisers has promoted Barrie Kenyon as partner. He started at the Cwmbran- based firm ten years ago where he qualified as a chartered certified accountant.

EY has appointed Darra Singh to head its government and public sector practice, which advises local authorities, government departments, the NHS and other public bodies on how to improve their services and have greater value for money. Singh has led EY’s local and public services team since 2014. Previously, he was chief executive at job Centre Plus as well as Ealing and Luton Councils.

Four EY leaders have been recognised by OUTstanding professional network for contributions to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LBGT) inclusion inside and outside the workplace. Beth Brooke-Marciniak, global vice chair of public policy, has been named to OUTstanding’s inaugural hall of fame. Steve Varley, UK & Ireland chairman and managing partner has been recognised for the third year and has joined the 2016 Ally Executives list. Liz Bingham, managing partner, has appeared on the 2016 LGBT+ executives list for the fourth consecutive year and has been joined by Orlan Boston, global client service partner and Americas life sciences transactions leader.

Sezen Tuncbilek, Georgina Tranter, Erhan Kale and Oliver Shaw have passed their final exams and are now recognised as fully qualified members at Wilkins Kennedy. Tuncbilek and Tranter will be based at the London office and Kale and Shaw will be based in the Hertford office.
