Damian Ryan has joined Moore Stephens as a partner in its corporate finance team. Previously Ryan has been head of corporate finance at Mediaventura and head of digital at Results International Group. He has over 10 years of experience in corporate finance in the digital media space and is the bestselling author of ‘Understanding Digital Marketing’. At Moore Stephens he will advise clients on a range of corporate finance transactions as well as bring a wealth of contacts in the digital sector.

Mercer & Hole has appointed Joanna Lovatt as audit director in its Rickmansworth office. She joins from Cox Costello & Horner having previously worked at BDO for the majority of her career. Lovatt will provide audit services to small and medium sized enterprises as well as advise clients on corporate and strategic tax planning.

Lincoln pensions has made five appointments to grow its covenant advisory marketplace. Luke Hartley, Emily Goodridge and Leon Caine join from AlixPartners and Alex Beecraft and Lara Durgan join from PwC’s covenant advisory practice. Hartley is a director with 10 years’ experience as a covenant advisory specialist. Beecraft, Goodridge and Caine are associate directors all with experience as covenant advisory specialists. Dungan joins as an analyst with two years’ experience as a specialist.

David Jeffcoat has been appointed partner in the Edinburgh office of Alexander Sloan after joining the firm in 2003 and becoming an associate in 2013. He specialises in providing external audit and assurance services and management advisory services to business start-ups and charities.

Consumer Intelligence has elected ex Deloitte vice chairman, Louis Jordan, as chairman. He worked for 16 years as a partner and vice chairman of Deloitte, during which he oversaw the implementation of a number of innovative and significant market initiatives and was personally responsible for developing and leading some of the largest client relationships. Prior to this he was a partner at KPMG specialising within the banking and insurance sector.

Bibby Financial Services (BFS) has appointed Chris Sygrove and Jonathan Myerscough as corporate managers for the midlands. Myerscough joins from Aldermore Bank, where he was regional sales director and Sygrove moves from his previous role as business development manager. Both are responsible for structuring finance packages between £1m and £15m for larger SMEs.

BHP Chartered Accountants has recruited 12 apprentices, eight graduates and four placement students which will work across the firm’s five offices in Sheffield, Leeds, Cleckheaton, chesterfield and York. These latest appointments bring the firm’s total employee figures to over 310.
