RSM UK has appointed Matt Taylor as tax disputes partner in its private client team in London and will lead the disputes business in the London and southern region. Taylor has over 25 years’ experience helping clients successfully resolve their tax disputes with HMRC. He joins RSM from PwC, where he spent 19 years advising corporates, high net worth individuals and partnerships, and has specific experience in the taxation of UK and international sports professionals and entertainers. He began his career as an HMRC inspector.

Azets has appointed a raft of partners and directors in the southern region as part of its ambitious growth plans. Partner appointments include Jon Allen, previously at Merlin Entertainments, as head of lead advisory M&A in London, Simon Nichols has come on board from KPMG as head of transaction services with the corporate finance team in London and Gary Tamkin is audit partner for both the Hertford and London offices, previously at Deloitte. Internal partner promotions include Chris Brazier, Matt Holmes, Dan Jonas, Debbie Saunders, Chris Tate and Jack Tatschner. Director promotions include Marie Craig, Mark Einchcomb, Craig Tolliday, Joshua Vincent and Katie Watson.
