In the latest career moves, KPMG bolsters restructuring team, Kreston Reeves director joins ATT council, partner promotions at Squire Patton Boggs and pensions hire at Spence & Partners
EY has appointed Neil Chapman, partner, to lead its UK consumer products and retail advisory team, based in London. Chapman has over 25 years’ experience working with clients predominately in the consumer goods and retail and telecommunications sectors. Prior to joining EY, he was the leader of Deloitte’s private sector supply chain practice.
Jersey Finance has appointed William McGilivray as business development director for London, with responsibility for identifying opportunities and building relationships between Jersey and the City, and for supporting member firms with their private wealth management, funds and capital markets growth strategies. He succeeds Richard Nunn, who has moved within Jersey Finance to be business development director in the Middle East.
Squire Patton Boggs has promoted two lawyers as partners in the firm’s global tax strategy and benefits practice group. Lindsay Fainé, private and sovereign investment fund tax lawyer in the Abu Dhabi office, and John Hutchinson, public finance tax lawyer in the New York office, have both been admitted to the partnership.
KPMG has named Blair Nimmo as UK head of restructuring, succeeding Mark Firmin, who is leaving the firm. Nimmo has worked on insolvency appointments such as Scottish Coal, Ferguson Shipbuilders and Dunfermline Building Society.
Kay Aylott, director of private client and trusts at Kreston Reeves, has been appointed to the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) council. Aylott’s primary focus is on tax planning for high net worth clients with a particular focus on inheritance tax and will planning.
RSM has appointed nuclear industry specialist Richard Arnott as a director in its new Cumbria office. Arnott joins RSM’s consulting arm, formerly known as Outperform, which provides services to public and private sector organisations. He was previously with WYG Group where he was a director responsible for the Cumbria region’s business activities and managing the company’s nuclear frameworks and projects, and has held posts in the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Sellafield Ltd and the supply chain.
Spence & Partners, actuaries and consultants, has appointed Hugh Nolan, previously JLT’s chief actuary, as director. Nolan entered the pensions industry in 1989 and has worked for several large consulting firms, most recently JLT / HSBC, where he has been since 2002.
JLT Employee Benefits has appointed Andrien Meyers as a senior investment consultant in its local government pensions sector practice. He joins from the London Borough of Lambeth where he was treasury and pensions manager and is a member of ACCA.
