Wilkins Kennedy has appointed Anil Kapoor and Jenny Reed as partners in its London office. Kapoor joins as an audit partner from a Top 10 practice where he has gained significant experience providing audit services to listed and unlisted clients, including alternative lenders, banks, stockbrokers, fund managers and payment services firms. Reed joins as a technical and training partner. She is a specialist in auditing, accounting and financial reporting matters and also sits on the Practice Committee and the ISA Panel at the ICAEW representing the interests of mid-tier firms.

Chris Raab has been promoted to head Grant Thornton’s US desk. He joined the firm’s London’s office in 2013 having spent the previous seven years working with the Grant Thornton US firm. He has experience working with US listed companies, performing quality control reviews and leading SEC and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) audits. Raab is also deputy chair of the ICAEW’S PCAOB panel.

MHA Moore and Smalley has recruited 20 trainees across its regional offices. The firm’s AAT trainees are Hannah Demain, Danielle Harrison, Oliver Pitt, Josh Mckay, Oliver Blaydes, Aaron Lonsdale, Katherine Hughes, Oliver Taylor and Catherine Steur. Meanwhile, its new ATT trainees are Jack Wren, Evie Procotor and Muhammed Desai. Michael Beardsmore joins as an ACA trainee and Jacob Broadbent, Frank Chatfield and Hannah Kay will join as financial planning trainees alongside Matthew Woods and Nazeem Patel as corporate assistants, Azhar Jabir as an audit senior and Matthew Wharfe on an internship.

Aimee Mohsen has been promoted to insolvency administrator at Haslers after joining the firm in 2016 as a secretary.

Quantama has appointed Fardeen Nariman to its corporate finance team. His previous roles have all been M&A focussed at KPMG, the Royal Bank of Scotland, August Equity and American Express. Most recently, he worked as an independent advisor providing buy-side deal support and assisting SMEs in their fund raising efforts. Nariman has nearly ten years’ experience of closing complex mergers and acquisitions and fund-raising deals, and has in-depth knowledge of the healthcare and technology sectors. Quantama has also appointed Andrew Andronikou as a partner. He joins the firm from UHY Hacker Young and will be based in the London office.

Three senior business executives have become executive fellows at London Business School’s finance faculty. This includes Tom Gosling who is a partner in PwC’s executive remuneration practice; Dominic Rossi who is global chief investment officer at Equities of Fidelity International; and Stan Beckers who is chair of the AQR Asset Management Institute at London Business School.
