This week’s people appointments includes a head of creative business and tax adviser at Wilson Wright, Dains gains a tax director, new executive director appointment at SWAT UK
Accountancy firm, Wilson Wright has appointed Kate Levy as head of creative businesses. She was previously partner at Richard Anthony, which she joined in 2015 following a merger of her own practice KJL Associates. Wilson Wright has also appointed Kate Gott as a tax adviser. Gott has previously worked for KPMG and specialises in tax planning.
Dains has gained Adam Longmore as a tax director. In his role he will work with clients providing advice on business tax issues, sustainable tax strategies, managing tax risk and opportunity, and meeting reporting obligations. Longmore joins Dains from PFK Cooper Parry and has 20 years’ experience.
Jim Clark and Philip Marsden, both of Marsden Clark Corporate Finance Limited, have joined Smith & Williamson’s corporate finance team. Clark is appointed as a director and Marsden as a consultant, based at the Moorgate office in London.
MGI Midgley Snelling LLP has appointed Angela Falder as tax manager who will provide tax planning and tax compliance advice to owner managed businesses and international clients.
Ricky Noimark has been promoted to tax partner at MHA MacIntyre Hudson in its north London, office after joining the firm in 2008. He currently leads the tax consultancy helpdesk which specialises in the tax affairs of owner-managed and growth businesses, and high net worth individuals.
Crowe Clark Whitehill has promoted Chris Mould to partner, after joining the firm in 1998. He will focus on advising owner-managed businesses, in a wide range of sectors and industries.
Sharon Cooke has become executive director of SWAT UK after being with the company since 2004. She will be involved with the practice-wide impacts of Making Tax Digital, the upcoming version of ‘Professional Conduct in Relation to Taxation’ and will provide probate services as a method of diversifying. She will also continue to lecture CPD tax updates.
Al Mana, Qatari-based firm, who bought BHS at the end of June has announced it is preparing to trade BHS online on 29 September. It will carry a range of lighting and home furnishing products and will add fashion over the coming weeks.
