Preventing age discrimination in the workplace

Analysis of employment tribunal data shows that the average compensation in age discrimination cases increased by 624% last year, rising from £13,000 in 2022/23 to £103,000 in 2023/34.

This article considers the issues facing a business dealing with age discrimination at work. As no doubt many employers have experienced, the business has had issues with banter in the workplace, and in particular comments relating to age have become common. They want to avoid any negative consequences of this, what can they do?
