Property companies should focus
on clear and useful disclosure in 2010, says Solly Benaim.
The property sector in 2009 experienced massive falls in asset
values, at a time of scarce liquidity, and near-universal investor
nervousness.
In these times of market uncertainty, the transparency of corporate
accounts has rarely been more important for real estate companies.
Only by providing detailed and accurate information about their assets,
liabilities and trading prospects can companies hope to increase the
investor confidence vital to their continued development.
