Q. We have a lot of clients that ask us before they purchase a new vehicle if it would qualify as a commercial vehicle for capital allowances and benefit in kind purposes. The type of vehicles they ask about are all very similar, such as combi vans, Land Rover Defenders, double cab pickups and crew vans, and even, converted minibuses. What is the correct treatment for these type of vehicles?
