In this article, we take the example of a small bakery business with two sites in neighboring towns. Each site has its own dedicated quality assessor, who is responsible for the products coming from the site.

However, they work closely with the quality assessor at the other site, carrying out quality audits at each other’s sites and covering for the others holiday and sickness absence.

Due to the trading conditions at one of the sites, they have been reviewing the staffing levels there and have decided to cut five job roles, one of which is the quality assessor.
