Regulatory roadshows for insolvency practitioners

The Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA) is to host a series of roadshows around the UK designed to offer insolvency practitioners the opportunity to examine current regulatory issues.

Topics to be discussed include complaints, new Statements of Insolvency Practice (SIPs), fees and other key changes within the insolvency profession, and participants will also have the chance to network with their peers. The event qualifies for CPE for IPA members and for the first time will also count towards CPE for lawyers, as this event has Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) accreditation.

The meetings, sponsored by JLT Specialty Ltd, will be chaired by IPA president Charles Turner who will be joined by members of the IPA team and guest speakers.

Turner said: 'As an association we recognise the value in going to our members around the country. Our profession is evolving, both in terms of regulatory issues and the way in which we educate, license and support our members. These road-shows will enable practitioners in the regions to engage with us and hear first-hand about these changes.'

The road-shows will take place in Bristol on 30 September; Birmingham on 1 October; Leeds on 14 October; Manchester on 15 October; London on 22 October; Belfast on 23 October; and Glasgow on 28 October.
