Richard is a tax dispute resolution partner at BDO LLP with over 25 years of tax experience. He specialises in managing complex tax enquiries and voluntary disclosures to HMRC for both UK domiciled and non-UK domiciled clients. He is a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser, a Fellow of the Association of Taxation Technicians and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, handling tax enquiries and investigations often conducted by HMRC under Code of Practice 8 and 9, now referred to as the Contractual Disclosure Facility. He also helps clients who want to voluntarily deal with a tax problem. Richard has dealt with various types of serious fraud enquiry for many different clients and has built a reputation for handling cases involving overseas assets, deceased estates and charities.
