RSM Tenon has confirmed that BDO will be its next auditor, following the bitter end to the 12-year relationship with PwC.

An RSM Tenon spokesperson said: 'The Board of RSM Tenon announces that, following a competitive tender process, it has appointed BDO LLP as the auditor for RSM Tenon Group.'

The announcement is another feather in the cap for BDO - the number six ranked firm in Accountancy's latest Top 60 firms league table.

The Big Four firm is currently under investigation by the Accountancy and Actuarial Discipline Board (AADB), over its audit of RSM Tenon and the signing off of the firm's accounts for the years 2009/10 and 2010/11 - after 'black holes' were uncovered.

PwC was subsequently dropped in December as auditor and BDO will now take on the role with immediate effect.
