A Welsh printing company over-burdened with debt has been placed into administration, with SFP appointed to oversee a potential sale of the company.
Run by brothers Malcolm and David Hackman, HSW Print (formerly Hackman Printers) has been trading for over 60 years and will continue to do so while joint administrators Simon and Daniel Plant seek a buyer for the Rhondda-based company.
Employing more than 85 people, HSW has accrued unsustainable debts of £85,000 despite reaching turnover levels of around £7m and have now called in the administrators.
Simon Plant, group partner at SFP, said that HSW has a good reputation for the services it provides and is hopeful that this fact will result in a successful outcome for taking the business forward: 'We are already in discussions with a number of potential purchasers and are looking to achieve a sale of the business as a going concern.'
