According to Sage’s Small Business, Big Opportunity? report, 43% of UK SMEs are expecting a revenue increase in the six months, and two thirds of the 2,040 businesses surveyed, expect their revenue to increase by around 30% while 41% expect their customer base to grow over the next year. 

The report, which focused on businesses with less than 250 employees and was conducted between November and December last year, also found that 43% of UK businesses are expecting to hire more people in 2022, and around half of them, 48%, expect their workforce to increase by up to 20%.
