Stephen Herring is head of taxation at the Institute of Directors and a former tax partner at BDO where he spent ten years until 2013. He is one of only eight independent members on the Treasury’s Tax Professionals Forum. At the IoD, Herring is based in the policy unit and focuses on the impact of tax policies introduced by the government and the need for additional reforms to promote UK economic growth.
