Strengthening corporate governance should be a priority says OECD

The OECD calls on all nations to strengthen their corporate governance framework and policies to help create a well-functioning capital market, to tackle the challenges posed by the covid-19 pandemic, and aid it in its recovery

In a report released, on 30 June 2021, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) says that without an effective policy response, the number of undercapitalised and underperforming firms will rise and productive resources will be tied up in non-viable companies, this will drag down investment and hinder any economic growth.
