Third of public sector audits inspected need improvements

A third of audits of local bodies, including health trusts and local government authorities, require improvements after the latest regulator inspection reports

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has published its inspection findings into the quality of major local body audits in England (which includes large health and local government bodies) for the financial year ended 31 March 2020.
