The self-employed, sole traders and landlords have just a few days left to submit their first quarterly Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax submission to HMRC before the  deadline this Friday, 7 August 2026.

Those earning more than £50,000 from self-employment and property income face this new mandatory reporting requirement, which covers income and expenses for the first three months of the tax year.
