GDP edged up again by 0.2% between April to June 2023. It comes after a rate of 0.1% recorded in the first quarter.

The biggest driver of growth came from the information and communications industry, which grew by 1%, showing increases in motion picture, video and TV programme production. The next largest contribution was from accommodation and food services, which increased by 1.6%.

However, these increases were partially offset by a decline of 1% in professional, scientific and technical activities, which saw falls in scientific research and development, and architectural and engineering activities.
