Francesco Buccola has been named chief financial officer at luxury fashion house Versace as it undergoes restructuring plans. In an emailed statement, the high-end fashion company said it was increasing its board members from seven to eight, appointing Robert Singer as a new member. Both Singer and Buccola have previously worked for Gucci, DowJones reported. Gian Giacomo Ferraris was brought in as chief executive in the spring, and announced in October that the company would be shedding about a quarter of jobs as a result of the impact of the global recession on the luxury retail market.
