The appointment of PKF Littlejohn takes immediate effect after BDO resigned as auditor of Satsuma, an AI software developer and Bitcoin investor listed on the main market, which holds BTC as its primary treasury reserve asset.
BDO had only been auditor since October 2025, when it was brought after the previous auditor quit. The BDO resignation followed a major spending review of all costs at Satsuma, including ‘service provider contracts’ and professional services fees.
This was a short-lived audit engagement for BDO, which had been statutory auditor for Satsuma for less than seven months. At the time of the firm’s appointment then CEO, Henry Elder said the appointment of BDO ‘completes our team of top-tier advisors for the Uplisting, and alongside our new CFO, ensures we have robust financial oversight’. However, Elder also left the business this March, along with the CFO.
