Accountants across the UK are being invited to do some number crunching of a different kind by taking up the challenge to play in a new golf tournament especially for the profession
Starting in June 2018, the FORE Accountants Golf Tournament 2018 will feature accountants, their colleagues and key clientele competing in teams of four for the chance to be crowned national champions.
Four regional qualifying competitions will be staged at a collection of top golfing venues across England, with events taking place in the south-west, central, north and London areas.
The top four teams from each will then progress to compete for a collection of prizes at a grand final at the Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel & Country Club in September 2018.
Costing £899 + VAT per team to enter, up to a maximum of 30 teams, the FORE Accountants Golf Tournament 2018 will feature qualifying events at four golfing venues; The Manor House Hotel & Golf Club in Wiltshire; Moortown Golf Club in Leeds; Little Aston Golf Club near Birmingham; and The London Golf Club, in Kent.
Matt Lacey, events manager at the Azalea Group and tournament director, said: ‘Golf is still considered by many as an important business tool, but how many of us actually get to play in a professional-style tournament?
‘Accountants have a passion for golf and the new tournament will give them the opportunity to not only play some fantastic courses and win some incredible prizes, but to have the chance to be crowned the Fore Accountants champions for 2018.’
