Liverpool accountancy firm Mitchell Charlesworth has acquired specialist firm Jennor & Co accountants in a move designed to increase its tax and payroll offerings.

The deal will see managing director of Jennor & Co, Jennifer Biggs, and two members of staff relocate to Mitchell Charlesworth's Widnes office.

Mitchell Charlesworth was named Accountancy Firm of the Year in September at the North West Finance Awards. Formed over 125 years ago, it is one of the largest independent practices in the north west with 150 staff in five offices.
