The trend for checklist auditing is debasing the quality of audit methodology, says Emile Woolf

In the course of being cross-examined by counsel for a Big Four firm, I was accused of repeatedly attacking big firm auditing and one of my articles was cited as evidence. I replied that I was implacably against bad auditing in general, not against big firms in particular.
