IAASA consults on future auditing framework for Ireland in FRC handover

The Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority (IAASA) has released a brief consultation on the future auditing framework for Ireland, as it takes over standard setting from the UK’s Financial Reporting Council (FRC).

As a result of the introduction of the EU audit regulations in Ireland in June, the IAASA has been named as the standard setter and audit regulator for the jurisdiction, replacing the FRC which had oversight of the auditing framework in Ireland.
