European Commission internal market and services commissioner, has
certainly ruf-fled feathers with the leak of his draft stance on the
future of audit. The question remains, are the radical proposals a
fait accompli or is Barnier’s bark worse than his bite? As
the OFT announces its own review of the UK audit market, the firms
are feeling somewhat under fire.
