BDO has announced changes to its leadership team, which will see two PKF partners joining the board following the merger between the two firms.
Martin Goodchild, previously PKF's managing partner, has a place on the leadership team as head of regions, and PKF finance partner Calum Stewart is named as finance partner.
Of the other appointments, Paul Eagland is named head of audit and tax, while Mark Sherfield is chief operating officer, and Gervase Macgregor becomes head of international advisory and risk and quality.
Jeff Jones is head of national advisory on the leadership team, which will continue to be chaired by non executive director, Lesley MacDonagh, who was appointed to the role in 2008. BDO said a second non executive director will be appointed following Lord David Currie's move to become chair to the Competition and Markets Authority.
Simon Michaels will continue as BDO managing partner, now in his second term until late 2016, and Mark Bomer remains in post as senior partner.
Michaels said: 'The merger has transformed our national market presence overnight, but the hard work starts now. I know this team is the right mix to build on our ambitions still further and respond quickly to the domestic and international environment.'
The merger between BDO and PKF was completed in April, creating a firm with nearly £400m in revenues.
