BDO’s international network has announced a strategic alliance with Microsoft, which will see the two organisations collaborating on technology and services in a bid to accelerate the digital transformation of their clients’ businesses

Under the global agreement, BDO will use the Microsoft Azure environment to deliver an online collaboration space where clients can enhance their digital experience and service workflow.

The network will also make use of Microsoft’s technology to add functionality to its bespoke Audit Process Tool (APT). In addition, BDO will add Microsoft offerings such as its Cortana Intelligence Suite to its data analytics tool to improve risk analysis.

Finally, BDO is partnering with cloud accounting providers across the world to deliver modern and secure cloud accounting services for clients, and says Microsoft NAV is a key tool in achieving this.

Martin van Roekel, global CEO of BDO, said: ‘Our strategic alliance with Microsoft will create new and exciting opportunities for BDO member firms to expand upon the in-depth knowledge they have of their clients and provide them with powerful insights, in both a financial and operational capacity.

‘BDO Global IT’s vision is for the network to become the enabler of efficiency in their profession, supporting BDO clients through transformational change and providing new ideas and innovative thinking to contribute to their commercial success, helping them achieve their objectives.’
