Buy-to-let taxation: quarterly reporting for landlords - part 2

In part two of our exclusive series on buy-to-let taxation, Cathy Corns, corporate tax partner at Mercer & Hole outlines HMRC's quarterly tax reporting requirement for landlords as part of Making Tax Digital, which is set to come into force from April 2018

The implications for landlords of Making Tax Digital cannot be ignored. Unless the government relents, most landlords will be impacted by Making Tax Digital from April 2018. The responses for the seven major Making Tax Digital consultations have still not been published but are due by the end of January 2017, as mentioned in the Autumn Statement 2016.
