CABA has launched a wellbeing zone, available on the charity’s website or as an app, which is designed to help past and present ICAEW members and their families stay physically active and healthy
The zone provides a range of options to help accountants looking to monitor their health, lose weight or set themselves a fitness goal, and is being launched in response to CABA’s wellbeing survey which has highlighted over the last two years individuals’ concerns around physical health.
Kelly Feehan, CABA services director, said: “We know that physical and mental fitness can have a multitude of benefits. Not only can it help your mood and energy levels, it can also benefit you in the workplace, by reducing stress and tension. We want to help individuals perform at their peak and stay healthy, and we hope our new wellbeing zone will help them challenge themselves to achieve their wellbeing goals.’
The wellbeing zone is free to use and is designed to help individuals make healthy choices. It addresses all aspects of wellbeing and helps people track their physical activity, eating, drinking and sleeping habits, along with assessing stress levels and caffeine dependency. By using the platform, accountants and their families can address their wellbeing in a holistic way and act on the recommended changes.
Options available include blogs and videos offering guidance on healthy food and drink, along with other features such as sleep diaries and fitness videos.
Feehan said: ‘We’ve also tried to make it as convenient as possible for members, so they can check-in on progress while on the go via our app.’
The app can be downloaded from Apple or Android stores and there is more information about the wellbeing zone on CABA’s website here
