The Chartered Accountants' Benevolent Association (CABA) is launching a course to help accountants age positively and navigate later life successfully, in response to growing call for more support for retired professionals
The new Positive Ageing course will be available from October. It looks at the emotional aspects and impact of ageing, and is designed to encourage past and present ICAEW members to take better care of their emotional wellbeing, therefore helping them to get the most out of this life stage.
CABA says the Positive Ageing course will dispel the myths about ageing and provide the tools to navigate later life with an adaptable, positive and resilient mind-set, enabling past and present ICAEW members to make the most of opportunities.
Laura Little, CABA learning and development manager, said: ‘We are all living longer and we face the prospect of being retired for a longer period. Therefore, it’s more important than ever before to age positively; knowing what you can do to improve your wellbeing to make the most of this time.
'We know there is a demand out there for this information, so we’re thrilled to be giving members the best opportunities to learn more about ageing positively.’
Following on from the charity’s Making the Most of Retirement course, CABA says it has seen a recent demand for courses focusing on later life.
